The family and friends of Gregory Holler in conjunction with the City of Tonawanda Recreation Dept plan to build an outdoor, state-of-the-art Community Skatepark in the Ives Park complex. Use of the skatepark will be 100% free.

The specifics of what will be included in the skatepark have yet to be determined. Follow us on Facebook to tell us what you think and to hear the latest updates on the project: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Tonawanda-Skate-Park/214982615438

There is a benefit planned for the spring of 2010. For information on how you can volunteer, donate, etc..., check out the website:http://tonawandaskatepark.com/

My cousin passed away a year ago unexpectedly at the age of 17 and was really into BMX and skateboarding culture.

I need some input regarding dry cleaning!

I have a large down alternative comforter that I need to be dry cleaned. Can anyone recommend a specific company or place? Also, any idea how much it costs? I've looked up Urban Valet and Colvin Cleaners but prices for down comforters aren't listed. I'm located in Allentown, but willing to drive 20min or so in any direction for a good deal.

Thank you so much!

**EDIT Wed Dec 9 00:28:16 UTC 2009 **

The notification system has been fixed in the new release... we are currently processing the queue, which is upwards of 12m jobs... please bear with us while our workers chew through this large queue and get your notification / emails out. Some may come more quickly than others due to weights on the notifications themselves, but we are hoping in the next 24 hours to have all the queues cleared and all notifications delivered that had been queued up over the past few days.

Again I apologize for this inconvenience, but we are almost out of the woods as soon as we are done clear cutting some of the forest ;)

Thanks,

** END EDIT**

Hey Guys,

Unfortunately with our last release, and its instability, we were forced to roll back releases. Unfortunately in doing so, it would seem that our notification system has been broken somehow. Our engineers are working on this issue as quickly as possible. We hope to have a patch within the next day, so we can deploy our code and fix the notification system at the same time. Please *bear* with us ;)

Currently all notifications are being queued up so they can be processed as soon as the fix is pushed and verified to be working correctly.

Thank you,

While some of us long to escape the cold, dark stretch of winter for hot tropical beaches, for others, there's nothing quite like whoooooshing down those shimmering sugar alps. If you're fond of freestyle skiing, get ready to slide down the slippery slopes in good company. This passionate, international community shares travel/gear tips, anecdotes, photos, and videos for those who can't get enough of the sweet stuff.

I'm wondering if anyone out there still perusing LJ-land, with some knowledge of the U of the B could help me out.

See, I'm a Junior who's managed to put off doing his Science requirement for far too long. Does anyone have any suggestions for a course that would either be fascinating enough to make the workload bearable, or easy enough to not have a workload that would interfere with my other courses?

I tried taking the second semester of Bio with Koudelka last spring and, christ almighty, it was one of the most poorly assembled courses i've ever taken. A third of the way through the course, just as you're getting the hang of the professor's style of teaching and testing, he switches out with another professor who teaches in a completely different style and is even MORE dry and boring, yet moves through pertinent information even FASTER while mulling about on stupid demonstrations that fail to get the point across. Before I resigned I believe the class average was just above 60.

However, I understand that I was jumping into the entirety of the course half-way. So perhaps by missing out on the first semester of information I was in more of a disadvantage as I had thought.

ANYWAYS.

Help?

Hello Dorks,

I just wrote an article about the Everywoman Opportunity Center and I was thinking about doing a follow-up piece with women who have actually been helped by them. Please comment if you have, and if you are interested in doing a short interview with me.

Also, if you don't know about this place, and you'd like more info, visit my page. I posted a link to the article I wrote there.

Thanks
